Allyson O'Brien

Allyson is an academic at the University of Melbourne with research interests in marine pollution and environmental monitoring using genomic tools. She is current President of AMSA Victoria and, together with the Victorian committee, building member engagement and student support. Over the last two years, she has started moving into educational research and is co-Chair of the BioSciences Education Research Group (BERG). BERG has research programs in skills development and vertical tracking, effective assessment, and curriculum design. Allyson is interested in exploring how these approaches can be applied to marine education through an inclusive curriculum.
