Gabriela Thompson-Saud

Gabriela is originally from Chile where she did her degree in Marine Biology and worked as a research assistant in the social-ecology laboratory at the Catholic University. She completed her Master in Environmental Management at the University of Queensland under the supervision of Amelia Wenger. Her master’s thesis was focused on assessing drivers of successful water quality management. She is currently undertaking a PhD at JCU. Her research focuses on analysing marine macrophytes dispersal and connectivity, using biophysical models and graph theory. Her supervisory panel includes Alana Grech, Marcus Sheaves and Severine Choukroun.
