Jordan D Gacutan
Gacutan, Jordan (PhD Candidate, University of New South Wales, Sydney). As an interdisciplinary ocean scientist, Jordan works at the interface of science and policy, through environmental-economic accounting and pollution monitoring. His current dissertation explores the role of Citizen Science in marine debris monitoring, and the transformation of such data towards informing policy and management interventions. He has experience working with government and sectoral stakeholders on spatial planning, spatial data infrastructure, and environmental management projects within the Baltic Sea, Spain, India, Fiji, and Australia. He is also currently the Technical Officer at the Secretariat of the Global Ocean Accounts Partnership, an action coalition of the High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy.
