Amelia R Pointon
Amelia Pointon is a PhD student from the University of Adelaide. Amelia graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) majoring in Genetics and Evolutionary Biology in 2020 and a degree of Honours in Evolution in 2021. Her study focuses on the population genomics, biogeography and systematics of sea snakes to understand their past drivers of diversification and divergence. In the early stages of her PhD, Amelia is developing an eDNA assay to map sea snake biodiversity to facilitate the detection and monitoring of threatened populations.
