Andrea Asunsolo Rivera
In 2016 I obtained my BSc in Marine Biology with honors from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur. I graduated top of my class and my thesis focused on the Distribution, abundance and richness of shark species in Cabo Pulmo National Park. La Paz, B.C.S. Mexico. Throughout my studies, I developed a passion for marine research and participated in several tagging, tissue sampling and monitoring programs on elasmobranchs. Earlier this year, I graduated from the University of Western Australia where I obtained a Master of Biological Science (Marine Biology). For this degree my thesis examined the antipredator behavioral responses of fish in response to both sharks and humans.
I am currently working on the Great Barrier Reef and looking into starting a PhD in the nearby future.
