Katie Motson
Dr Katie Motson’s research focuses on the effects of anthropogenic and climatic stressors on the ecology of coral reef fishes. Her PhD investigated the effects of coral reef condition upon parasitism and the parasite communities infecting herbivorous fish on the Great Barrier Reef. Originally from the north of England, Katie has a background in Physical Geography (BSc, University of Edinburgh) and conducted her MSc research investigating the capacity for thermal developmental plasticity in three tropical wrasse species, at James Cook University in Townsville.
