Courtney L Lewis
Courtney Lewis is a third-year PhD student within the Centre for Bioinnovation at the University of the Sunshine Coast, where she completed her Honours in 2019 and carried on with a PhD following on from her Honours research. Her research focus is functional genomics in decapod crustaceans and applications to inform aquaculture practices. Within aquaculture there are key issues obstructing commercial success. Courtney is applying molecular tools to vast transcriptomic libraries to better characterise genes across the spiny lobster lifespan in hopes to improve sustainable aquaculture production.
